At Barnes Academy Christian School in Hartwell, Georgia, we believe in cultivating not only academic excellence but also a strong sense of community and gratitude. This year’s Thanksgiving program, held in November 2024, was a testament to that mission.
The evening began with a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone of thankfulness and unity. This was followed by a joyous time of music, with performances that showcased the incredible talents of our students and faculty. The highlight of the evening was a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, lovingly prepared by students from our newly introduced cooking class.

A Meal Made with Love
This year’s Thanksgiving dinner was particularly special, as it was prepared entirely by students in our new cooking class. The class, introduced this semester, has been an incredible addition to our curriculum, teaching students valuable life skills and fostering creativity in the kitchen. Under the guidance of their dedicated instructor, the students prepared a feast that included all the traditional Thanksgiving favorites. Their hard work and teamwork shone brightly, and the meal was enjoyed by all who attended.
Gratitude in Action
The Thanksgiving program is an annual tradition at Barnes Academy, reminding us to pause and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. From the inspiring prayers to the delicious food, the evening was a beautiful reflection of the values we hold dear. We are deeply grateful for our students, parents, faculty, and community members who made this event a success.
